TLDR: if you were given a Developing rating in the last couple of years, and it was supposedly not due to FMLA, but in reality was, and you are RIFed then you may have a case.

You don't need ti outspend verizon. They will have to pay your legal fees if you win. and based in feedback that shouldnt be hard to do. almost everyone in my dept that went on dis in the last year got layed off.

Good luck. You cannot outspend Verizon legal. They will paper and postpone your attorney(s) until you’re bankrupt. The only traction you will get against them is through EEOC complaint or class action. Not saying it’s impossible, just will be the fight of a lifetime.

The two people on my team that were let go in 2015 were both recently back from FMLA. I always suspected that was why. And I disagree that the lawyers are smart. This is an arrogant company that thinks they can do what they want, when they want, to whom ever they want.
