Does anyone know how many people affected today? I just read an article saying it's less then 4%. What they mean by that? More than 500?

I've heard 10% across the board for weeks now....and that's how it seems to have panned out today.
I got my layoff notice today. My manager told me the number of "impacted employees" is over 16,000.
Wireless network and IT too. Just a few days before thanksgiving like some 80s movie villain company.
So much for the troll naysayers on this board. They contribute nothing but useless criticism.
Just heard how absurd and harrassing the layoffs were communicated and then escorted out like suspects. No rhyme or reason; just wham, bam, thank you man!
I was told 18% across the board by a friend in Finance. My whole department from Director on down was let go.
OP here, my bad. I somehow missed the word "Oath", even though it was stated in a headline. Here is a link for that article: https://techcrunch.com/2017/11/16/latest-round-of-verizon-layoffs-at-oath-affects-4-of-staff-globally/?ncid=mobilenavtrend

The goal was 10% across the board and there's 160K sheep.
