Hey all. There's a lot of fragmented posts on here that have zero to do with actual layoffs.
As such, I thought it would be a good idea to have a specific thread devoted to anything credible that we know.
On the Wireless side, in the past during the week of a layoff, Tuesday (today) is the day Directors and DMs typically get notified if there are any cuts to their teams.
Wedesdays are when "impromtu" meetings with Directors/DMs and their direct reports happen, and those individuals are then informed of everyone on their team who will be impacted.
Thursday is the "bring the pain" day, when those GMs and/or team Managers (network, training, finance, HR, etc.) get to break the bad news to the affected individuals. This is always done in company with a member of HR, either in person or via a phone call.
For this one thread, please be courteous to your fellow Verizon brethren. Please, no union bashing, unnecessary sarcasm, and the like. Remember these are your work brothers and sisters that are losing their livelihoods, which can be devastating. Please be so kind as to be respectful in your comments and again, only post things you know are credible.
I wish everyone on here the VERY best of luck, hoping you get your package (if that's what you want) or to keep your job.
Please share what you know below and thank you in advance. :-)
