Field Network Assurance job is similar to firemen, somedays you are nonstop one thing right on to another and other days your waiting for something for happen. Its not always predictable. They are however very needed job, you cut them and the network will suffer

It’s ALL become BS. -The work we do doesn’t matter the stress level is thru the roof. There’s always a new software program to replace the last program that only lasted a year. Everything is always changing, and in the end, the same basic problems exist with 30 & 20-something’s running the company into the ground, with NO respect at all to us veteran workers who have served. It’s a nightmare, just to cover up their stupid purchases of Drone Companies & Yahoo, a Failed, & Literal Hacked-Company. The Greed by the Partners has trickled down to the Managers & they are Very Poor judges of their expectations of their people & could care less...
Frankly, Good Riddance, i’ll be glad to take a breath of fresh air. Really... This has gone from a good, proud company to work for, to something of your worst nightmare, almost everyday. I frankly can’t wait.
@QfFvsJ4-fld or maybe you overestimate the skills required. Harvest data, drop it in the system for big data analysis by team's 'abroad' in distant time zones, then send out the cheapest, youngest, least salty, 'skilled' person who remains to interact with the hardware based on the harvested data.

I'd love to see it contracted out to Google via their existing street view fleet - simple, elegant partnership solution.

May not outsource the NA but they replaced me with 3 people that made 1/4 of what I was making. Seniority has NO bearing on who gets whacked.
NA has not only received a name change, but recently taken on more of the day-to-day SP duties (interference analysis, KPI interpretation, NRB ticket resolution and now neighbors & activations). Thats not something you do with a team you're trying to contract out. Unlike SP, who have embraced contractors, NA has pushed hard to keep work in-house.
