Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

First rule about MSOC, Don't talk about MSOC.

Don't talk about it. AT&T has given you the rules, now play the game. MSOC is the best thing for someone who is smart and no longer gives a damn. It isn't like they are going to waste more money in moving weak minded 1st lines into MSOC coach positions. Those positions are getting popped, and they are scrambling for a job.

Are you talking about canning managers for 1st level field management? (I just left a field job in NC for a datacenter job in CA) I know a good few people with low tenure working as wire techs, OPTs, and FTs.

I thought there wasn’t a MSOC anymore and technicians are now using the abc model ? Also, MSOC positions are no longer needed. Most of the non Management employees should focus on preparing themselves for project management positions or software development roles .
