Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Is it not possible for wireless workers to actually sell?

So according to this board VZW workers will slam TMP, Hums, Phone lines and force you onto unlimited data. Do you guys not know how to sell anything, seriously it seems like all you can do is slam stuff onto unknowing customers. Does no one know how to upsell or sell someone on the value of a product? If the only way you can sell something is by sneaking it into a sell or with holding info there's something wrong with that. You make used car sales men look like angels

A guy walks into our store today wants bogo iPhone I explain that bogo has to be new line on unlimited plan he says" I didn't read that" no because your the customer and always right. And you don't believe me because I' secintly said the parameters of the promotion . The first words out his entitled lips I'm porting to AT&T he thinks I give a sh- t and I say have a nice day. Your right no one knows what we put up with and the moral in the stores is so low most don't want to come to work. Great job Management! That after I help a nut job that she's not getting the battery life from her iPhone and for me to fix it. I touched it with my stick with the star on the end and said all is good!

I will say that 75 percent of the customers that walk in into the stores have no need to add lines or services with Verizon because they already have them! it's almost an instant no when showing a hum or tablet etc. Our stores have become free service centers, phone upgrade center, warrantee centers, global services centers (lol) bill payment centers ( it's 2018), unopened fedex box centers were they want us to sit with them for hours on passwords and phone content. Verizon has created this in the stores. So the reps feel they have to resort to these tactics to sell these products. The market is saturated. So the comment" they don't know how to sell" is ludicrous because there has to be a need for the product or service to get the sale in the first place. Hang out in a store for a day or 2 and see what the frontline puts up with . It's not a sales location anymore especially for growth and with 70 percent less staff than 2 years ago.

They don't know how to sell any more. Items are able to be discounted or credits are being given just to get products out the door.
