Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

TMP Declination Form

Starting today we are makin customers sign a hard copy of a “TMP Declination Form” if they choose not to get our $11 insurance. They have to sign it date it and put their phone numbers.

“by signing below, I voluntarily decline to accept Verizon’s offer of protection on my device.”

Then we file it in the back. For what exactly? To sue them later?

This Became a used car lot so quickly I barely noticed!

@1ien here, and starting to hate spellcheck, and, now understanding that spellcheck may be partially at fault to blame for a portion of the gibberish appearing here.

It is so incredibly painful to read some of comments on here and to think that this is now what passes muster as acceptable, well-communicated, well-written, thoughtfully-scribed, millennial banter.

So when they declined tmp customer comes in the store and they come in after the 1 year warranty with a phone issue, these people mostly will stand there and say "What are you going to do"? The put the problem on us. I say you have a 1 year warranty ant it has passed. However, if they shout loud enough the store manager will wake up from their 8 hour nap and help them if the phone had a warranty. So the customers know that warranty s are worthless and don't pertain to them, because the store have never stood firm with the warranty policy. It's a joke!

Because it forces customers to really consider the options. It also assures the rep and manager that the customer actually declined, so they can't come in later and say "they never offered." Why do you care? If you take a form signed by the customer to management, your a-- is covered. You get less sh-- in the long run. I've been doing it for years.

Customers are getting wiser, why pay 11.00 a month when they can buy policies online for 80.00 and not pay a deductible. TMP is ripoff and customers are starting to see it. Verizon is using TMP as a way to eliminate call center jobs as tech coach would be doing all the tech support for Verizon with Verizon not having to pay a dime for it.
