Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Integrity

I am being told by management to just add tmp to accts with out customers permission. They have to be on low performer conference calls if not performing in tmp. I am at 64 percent. Our goal in Florida is 75 percent. Meanwhile customers are complaining from other stores in surveys and in person about how tmp was added without permission. Nothing is getting done about it. This company is worried about an $11 feat

As a former Verizon Employee I visited a retail store in Tucson AZ over the week to purchase a phone for my in law. Insurance was added to my account without concent, I went back to speak with the store manager who then mentioned they would never do that without my concent and argued back and forth. I feel like Wells Fargo pt 2 is coming To Verizon no integrity or accountability whatsoever

Go hang out with Steven Lucero he will show you what integrity is all about Slam Hums, Tmp, false churn, and lie about accessory bundles. It also wins him a trip to Presidents Club Every Year! Oh and the best part about it His Managers have his back!!

It's usually wireline whining about an EISP or how unfair the company is to those who've been there for 20 or 30 years. Oh brother. Longevity is so overrated. You stay here a long time and turn into a useless slob who thinks he/she/it is entitled to something special then you deserve to get riffed. The old timers who are more productive than the newbies, those are the ones worth their salt.

I work with the top 20 rep in the company. He is the definition of NO integrity but not once has management done anything to stop it. He plays the system by slamming hums, changing plans to unlimited without concent, adding TMP without concent and so on. When customers go back to complain they always have his back and never seem to question his integrity. By doing his shady behavior he wins trips prizes. Now that is the definition of a true slammer with no consequences.

Just so you know it is like this in retail in general. I know someone who works for one of the big clothing retailers and store management is constantly on them about their credit numbers (number of credit applications processed). Each store has a quota (usually unreal) and the district managers come down hard on them. It's like they are more worried about that than actual clothing sales. Maybe credit is where they make their money. So sometimes the employees come up with novel ways to get credits like getting family members to sign up or signing up customers without them knowing (slamming). To the store's credit (no pun intended), they usually have a cow when many of these unorthodox measures are discovered and people have lost their jobs. But not too different from Verizon it seems.

The Managers should get coaching portals, but they don't because the GMs are not around and don't see what goes on in the retail locations. Thus, store managers have no direction and are not told what to do, all they do is run around like in a" fire drill" and blame the staff if they're not getting the crazy numbers that Verizon wants. There is some kind of disconnect from reality.and the saturated market of the wireless industry. Verizon either should get out of retail or have someone that will lead and be more in line to take on today's retail wireless business.

The customer can get the exact same service for 7 bucks a month, minus the worthless tech coach option. But we get paid exactly zero for that.

I just used my Assurion insurance for the first time after paying for it for years, and they were pretty amazing. Absolutely no complaints. $100 deductible. I can live with that. Beats buying a new device for the current rates.

The coachings are ridiculous, I have a ton of bad ones from a SM who doesn’t like me even though my mid year review I was one of the top performers. If they did that to me over TMP I would have my two weeks in within the month. You can’t force people to get insurance.

sounds so much like something Sprint o T-Mobile would do. Cheesy used car salesperson to do this. You guys have so much value to another company. There is definitely life after VZW. Please take care of yourself and do NOT let VZW treat you with such disregard. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad I am gone/retired from there. My confidence and self esteem has come back to where it used to be before I worked for VZW. They brainwash you to think there isn't a company that pays good. Please know there are several that respect their employees and do not treat their employees like you are walking on eggshells and might lose your job. LOOK AT DIFFERENT OPTIONS.....You deserve it and deserve a company that cares about you

I got a coaching portal last week for being below 60 percent TMP. My manager is requiring for my customers to have control of my tablet and make them decline TMP by pushing the option. I am also being threatened to have my schedule changed If I don’t get above 65 percent. I am also required to get a manager involved in my sale after a customer says no 3 times to declining TMP. I got yelled at today for not getting TMP on a Gizmo watch which is absolutely sellling without integrity $9.99 a month for a 80.00 watch with a 50.00 deductible really!?!? I am seriously thinking of leaving the company next year.

They wouldn’t have to push us so hard to sell TMP, accessories, and Hum if they all weren’t ripoffs or terrible products

If there was value to TMP you wouldn’t have to be sneaky about selling it.

Why am I paying 11 dollars a month and 200 deductible?

That’s just a big waste of money. Firstly it’s vastly overpriced monthly and the deductible shouldn’t be anymore than $100. Maybe $5 a month and &100 deductible. Again this is Verizon and everything needs to be overpriced and slammed on customers.

Can’t slam Hums and TMP well we have a class room to show you how! Now that is just pathetic.

I’d bet they are pushing a high target so they can get Asurion to handle all warranty claims, not just extended warranty and damages.

VZW would save a ton of money if they didn’t have to handle CLNRs.

Not sure if it’s still the case, but Verizon used to get .25 of every dollar of revenue from Assurion.

Just another example of "selling withOUT integrity"! Verizon retail stores will soon be a thing of the past. Or, at least there will be far fewer of them soon. Get out before it's too late, and not into another retail job where you will soon have the same problem.

But for TMP to sell usually requires a sales person to bring it up in the conversation. It seems the company is using TMP rates as a proxy for a salesperson making a good faith effort in the sales process rather than being just an order taker. Makes sense. Now it seems some are going a little overboard as if TPM were the actual goal. That's what happens when they find something to measure against because people start making that the goal instead of what really matters.

Total mobile protection we barely get any kickback from it also like 17 dollars for it in a 12k plus bucket lol such a joke for a metric that is heavily weighed we make nothing on it

Same here. The store policy is basically just click it on there, hand the customer the “order confirmation” receipt and then grab the customers phone and delete all the emailed reciepts so they don’t remove it for a month. Doing these unconscionable acts is bad enough, but nobody’s even getting paid to screw people. It’s just to not get in trouble.

5 hum and 75% tmp is next to impossible if you’re fully disclosing everything. 6 am workshops over that would probably be the thing that pushes me to turn in my notice

Managers in my district have threatened their employees to have to attend a 6am TMP workshop if they are not above 75% TMP. Also have to attend a 6am workshop if they are not at 5 HUMS month to date. Managers encourage reps to slam tmp and not give a option to customers of not getting it.

Management always backs up top performers and their shady practice. They make money off their shady practices thus will deal with their escalations as long as the reps are making them money. We have a rep in my store top 100 in the company, day in day out he gets customers going back complaining they were slammed with TMP and Hums. Managers simply tell the customers they signed the agreement and they should of been more careful reading the receipts.
