Being a wiretech for the past 7 years, this is the worst I have ever seen. There is no doubt more surplus is coming. While I hate to lose my job, I am oddly at peace with the fact that I've kept my integrity intact and have never lied to a customer (unlike the call centers). When I started, was proud.Now I'm embarassed. Coincidently, I have taken earfuls by my super for being honest with the customer. The company wants techs to sugarcoat and claim all is good simply to get customer under contract. I can't nor will lie for a companies bottom line and pull no punches when questioned and its probably put a big target on my back for the next wave.
I have 25 years service, have the most seniority in my group, and was informed that I was surplussed on December 15, 2017, (Have A Happy Holiday). I am shocked and stunned by this action.
