I want to hear about how stores are doing with this new "no setup" devices. Any feedback? Any differences?

@fkv

Until the contract expires, only where FIOS exists is the official word.

-after- august 2019, they could do what they want but theres been no word on this.

Heared the company wants to abandon the copper plant, even in area where there is no fios or any type of upgraded service,as long as that area has cell service they can abandon the copper in place, and heared the FCC is ok with that, does anybody have info about this subject

My number of boxes has increased for sure. Less stressful for me and customers. Haven’t really had anyone push back yet. Had one person that was hesitant but the sheet we hand them has the number to tech coach so good opportunity to get TMP

The new process has been lightly used based on circumstance. Most of the transactions this month are gift related so those don't require any sort of backup. It is kind of ironic that retail always viewed " clerking out sales" as a negative and now that is what they want us to do. December will not be a good month to judge how the new process is doing, wait until January etc .

The nitwit runs the store like he still has 40 employees, he has 12 employees now ,with him still giving some employees weekends off during the buying holiday season. The DM signs off on this so he s complicit in the bad scheduling. again Management obviously doesn't care in all aspects of the business.

A store manager having a 3 day weekend during the Christmas shopping season in retail! How is that possible?

We're not busy, so some of the "help" is mostly doing it for them,so the Manager can have his 3 day weekends off in December and the solution manager can stand at the door for his 8 hour shift and greet, the other solutions manager can Bulls--t with customers for an hour( and I don't mean helping them) If we get busy in the next 2 weeks there might be a problem with manpower at the location, because store management has never stepped up to the plate at this location.

Why does it matter to you. Your obviously not employed in a store. You’ve probably been promoted to customer like most on here, why don’t you go see for yourself.

The landlady said

You got the rent money yet?

I said no, can't find no job

Therefore I ain't got no money

To pay the rent

She said I don't believe

You're tryin' to find no job

Said I seen you today you was standin' on a corner

Leaning up against a post

I said but I'm tired,

I've been walkin' all day

She said that don't concern me

Long as I get my money next Friday

Now next Friday come I didn't have the rent

And out the door I went

So I go down the streets

Down to my good friend's house

I said look man

I'm outdoors you know

Can I stay with you maybe a couple days?

He said let me go and ask my wife

He come out of the house

I could see it in his face

I know that was no

He said I don't know man

Ah she kinda funny, you know

I said I know,

Everybody funny, now you funny too
