Managers

Does anyone else have issues with managers. My club they think they are superior to us workers. They favoritism is awful if your liked you walk around all daydoing nothing. The hard a-- workers get more and more dumped on. They expect higher quality work from their great associates, while the piss poor associates get praised. Our managers want a friendship rather than workers. I refuse to kiss someone’s a-- and let another manager bad mouth another one.

This is exactly how my club is. None of the managers in my club even have a high school education. All they do is sit their lazy a-- in the office doing absolutely nothing and also probably making fun of some of their employees. If a member need to talk to a manager, all they do is call you on your ext. and then ask what the situation is, then they ok give them 20-50 dollar in gift card. All the managers go out to lunch together, leaving no managers in the building and they come back come drunk and high, that’s probably why they hide in the office because they don’t want to be caught being intoxicated. They also promote the kiss a-- laziest people to be cos. One of the cos in my club is always on the phone constantly talking to her boyfriend and the funny thing is that her boyfriend works there too. She’s never off of her phone. Another cos is constantly checking the schedule or guarding his presious clipboard. Also if he is not doing that, he is standing around swinging his keys around. There was a team lead that use to work there until he quit because he had a case going on where he was being press charge by three associate because they were s-xually harassed. He quit right when corporate and the cops were in the building because he was on the edge of being arrested. The stupidest thing that the new GM decides to rehire him back as a cos. So basically they hired a s-x offender. He has a video leak that he is getting head from multiple girls in the family bathroom. Also restarted the whole s-x harassment with new girls. He was showing certain girls how to do jewelry and giving them the code to get in. He’s also saying that their getting promoted to a cos. How does a cos go and promote cashiers to be cos??? Basically cos in my club don’t do sh--. The funny thing is that none of them would hop on if there are lines even if there was three of them on shift. They would send small to wireless while they just stand there and don’t do nothing. The sad part is that the team lead has to hop on to register while her cos stand there and look pretty doing nothing. I thought the whole point of TL is to get your cos on register. Also if you call for a cos, they won’t come. It will sometime take them 10-30 min to come over. It’s sickening how u have to page them over and over and over while you have a member waiting and keep on apologizing that their on their way. Overall, my club is probably by far the worse especially Management. I studied for Management and this place is by far the worst I’ve ever seen in my entire life. If I was corporate none of these managers or supervisor would even be in their position or even have work there. Seriously this a good company to work for, but there is no management at all in my club.

The APM at our club is a former Night Manager and a few years back she was screwing one of the night guys. What a hoe! She now sits in the office all day and barely helps with events. The Fresh Manager has affairs with PTC too. I saw them last week go to lunch together. Both married..sick!

It’s every club when you have these young uneducated running million dollar clubs. Theses managers these days play favorites to friendship rather than someone who bust their a--. We’ve lost so many hard working Educated GM’s with 25 plus years experience in retail. This is why so many clubs or failing and the new GM’s set in offices with no clue.

WOW!!! Thought it was only our club! The common phrase with managers was "work smarter, not harder!" Of course all they did was sit in managers office on their phone. It does seem apparent, the uneducated, ignorant associates get promoted because of the brown nosing. We have a TL who goes around flaunting her title and bullies associates to meet goals. Another TL is directly related to the district manager of the Southwest and he feels no one can touch him when it comes to reprimand. Another TL stepped away from Audit prior to its demise only to keep her same pay and full time status and hang with GM and APM. Just bring in Starbucks and donuts and you're in! What happened to good old fashion hard work and being recognized for that hard work.

Sounds like this goes on in all the clubs. The managers anymore want to be liked rather than deal with confrontational associates. That’s why they get by with so much sh-- these days. It’s easier to give the associates what they want cause they always right.

Sam’s Club promotes the wrong people for management. They promote the brown nose kiss a$$ associates who are lazy. Instead of developing the good and dedicated associate. Most of the managers don’t have a college edication and I wonder if they finished high school. Use the hard working dedicated associates and promote the lazy kiss A$$.

Sounds like it's the same crap going on everywhere. We have two decent managers and the rest are useless. They're more concerned about Facebook and being buddies with associates. We have two managers that you can never find, they say they're there, but not sure if they really are. They know where there aren't any cameras and hang out in those offices. The favoritism is ridicules. They're so afraid of a lawsuit, that "certain" people get away with what ever they want and openly brag about it.

My club is the exact same way. Calls to ethics go ignored. Market managers make the club manager sit it on open doors about them. While they both gang up on the assiocate raising a concern. Blanket lack of respect for individuals, trying to coach and fire people or drive them out. All the while we are short staffed. But a small few who brown nose managers get special treatment. Then the cycle of slave driver starts again. Guess we need it be more brown nosers. Our managers have told assiocate they don’t pay us to think. Guess it’s true.

My club as well. Some associates get to sit in the office with GM and the APM while others cannot step foot in the APM's office, only her buddies. So it seems to be in every club 😕

Don't worry, its like that here too

But here associates get to make up their own schedule, come in whatever time they want, leave early, call in as many times or don't call in at all and not get told nothing.

Because they are BF with the GM.
