This is the true-up period for Wireless. Operating as a separate business unit (Vodaphone days), being profitable and not at market saturation the wireless BU experienced maybe 10% of the layoff cycles the other business units experienced. The Vodaphone glory days are over. Headcount in the Wireless industry has shrunk by millions in the last several years, Vz wireless is just now catching up. Welcome to your new norm wireless employees.

Everyone know's Wireless has been living off the financial largess of Wireline. Time to balance the scales....or time for them to fall from your eyes.

Cyclical. Wireline took their lumps for decades (and still are to an extent). Now it's wireless' turn. Also very common with tech/telecom. Been in this industry 24 years, axe is always swinging...duck.
