Anyone else hear these rumblings? Position is definitely going away. Originally heard it was gonna just not be back filled, but now swirling around about a surplus in Jan.

Anyone find it funny the job they used as an example on the bargaining report of being surplused was specifically the SSR position?
The gentleman / ma'am stated that ONLY level 3's with no SSRs were being filled. That's simply false information and fear mongering.
This site and especially this AT&T page have enough of that spreading around, so I will gladly correct what information I know for a FACT is incorrect.
The same should go for all. Theres no reason for opacity.
That statement should have either clarified it was in their OWN market, or it just didn't need to be said because they didn't know what they were talking about.
That’s your market....
that just isn't true.
an SSR for a level 1 store in our market left for IHX support role, and they filled their position with a new SSR.
they even sent them to training in TX where there were (you guessed it) other SSR's being trained for other stores that were being hired to stores ranging from level 1 to 3. they aren't even doing classroom training for part time RSC's anymore. all virtual.
So spreading false information about how SSR's aren't being filled in any store below level 3 is counterproductive
SSR Surplus was pushed back into mid to late 2018. Currently, only level 3 stores with no SSR was being filled.
Job is only gaurenteed if store closes, and nothing is to say it will be anywhere close. That proposal isn’t even signed for, that was just some propaganda by the company to get union members to think it was some amazing deals...it’s not.
Definitely going away (trust me) we don't need SSR'S anymore. We are doing some trainings at the moment, I can't really say much more but we are definitely taking over a lot of their responsibilities and so will the RSC'S. I wish it weren't true but I recommend to start looking elsewhere and I mean fast.
I saw the email about the job security also. It didn't say our position was safe just we would have something to go to if we got surplused. No sure how that would effect severance.
I heard from the union to not leave my position because it is for sure is not being back filled. When i mentioned the Jan surplus it didn't seem like that was new info to them.
I have heard rumblings but nothing to substantiate this. What areas are we speaking about?
Also, new bargaining email came out for. Orange. Company says we will be guaranteed a position... So no severance pay?
It sure does look that way.
