We'll see. I don't think there is much presidence to block it based on the little info being reported. The Time Warner deal is vertical. There is presidence to approve it though based on the fact that Comcast was allowed to acquire NBC. It's the same type of buyout. If NBC News was super liberal and despised by Trump and the Comcast deal was happening now the DOJ would pull the same stunt. The Trump administration wants the current heads at CNN to roll. My prediction is that Randall will fire the higher ups at CNN that gave "Donald the Snowflake" headaches over the last few years and it will go through. The News division present no antitrust concerns so this is nothing more than a blatant political stunt. Not to mention that the DOJ and Washington in general would look pretty weak by not moaning about something. Who knows. Illogical action is becoming all too commonplace these days.

DOJ does not have any legal standing to sue in order to block this deal. They are just forcing AT&T to sell their content to their rivals.

I would not be surprised if it gets blocked, would explain why the stock is tanking.
