WOW as if morale isn't low enough, Verizon was offering a 100$ gc for 10000 smart reward points such perfect timing with Christmas coming well of course it was too good to be true just got the dreaded email from Marketing that it was an inventory "error" OOPS lost my gc and my last points! Will not honor anything. Thanks VZW....oh but keep wasting money on bloated travel expenses for MP CP's and Directors.

It was a goodwill gesture, they even posted it in infomanager on 10/20 that it was an employee only offer to help us use our points. Then a couple weeks later, oops we had an inventory issue that showed the card available when it really wasn't, so we're going to honor the customers gift cards(remember infomanager said it was an employee only offer, how did customers order them?) but not employees.
The whole Rewards program was pointless. The only thing you could use were coupons for discounts that companies were giving away anyway.

Just more shadiness from VZW. Would you really expect anything less? I mean...really?
Verizon doesn't give ANYTHING away free unless forced. Especially to our customers...either external or internal. So, yeah...
(Oh, and I too used up 10k points on this bs. The points were ALWAYS worthless)
I wonder if anyone actually got the gc. My bet is everybody got this email. Everyone I have asked that claimed it really early that day has received the same email.
I am going to get Laid Off for buying a GC that was offered by our Company? WOW so thats how they figure it all out? I always assumed it was an algorithm they used?
Nobody spread anything , the offer was on our Verizon Site being "sold". Everyone thought that it was a nice gesture, really you shouldnt being throwing stones and throwing the "layoff' word around anyone with any moral compass would not wish that upon anyone. Karma
The way this information spread around the office like fire, you should have known it was too good to be true. It’s like finding a gap in a system and then instead of notifying someone an abstaining, you expose the gap and spread the word to further expose it.

I know plenty of employees who already bought accessories and put them on their bill thinking the card would pay for them. I foresee many WFGs being processed under employee accounts this week.
They got us! In our center people thought it was a goodwill gesture since the points were going away and so many employees had so many points left. I never would have thought they would not honor the GC. But that is shame on me because they treat us and count us as customers.
Funny they want Customers to be loyal yet have no loyalty to their employees.

Such a scam they basically tricked people into ordering this knowing they couldn't fulfill the orders that way people used their remaining points. Disgusting.
