Any final word on whether or not retail trainers or retail store field ops will be cut this round?

There is an entire layer of adipose ops supporting centers and retail locations. In times of strife the fat burns off first.

@1ivg.... I have the same question. The post doesn't make sense. The only field ops I know support retail stores.... not centers. Unless I'm missing something.

What do centers have to do with field ops?

Same for retail field ops. No travel and no OT since August.

If true about trainers, it would make sense. We stopped all travel requiring an overnight stay about 2 months ago and there's no OT unless you're on "platform" (delivering training).

They also frown on us doing any excessive travel within our districts.

Me, I'm just waiting on my offer letter from another company. I have to get off of this bull$hit roller coaster. Seeing people's lives turned upside down every 6 months for the last 4 years is enough.

Under current leadership, this company can no longer compete and will become irrelevant in the coming years.

It also gave the store away to Comcast who's just getting started taking away our customers to put them on...the exact same network...at a fraction of the price they're currently paying.

Charter is gearing up to do the same early next year.

To those that say "Don't worry...we'll be fine this year." Yeah...pull your head out of the sand and find employment with a company that ISN'T CONSISTENTLY LAYING OFF A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF THEIR WORKFORCE ON A BI-ANNUAL BASIS. How can anyone be ok with that hanging over their heads?

Unless this isn't actually your career.

There's no creativity here. No "industry-leading" anything anymore. In wireless, we've had the same accessories of the month interchanged month by month for the last 5+ years. Our plans are STILL the most expensive with the least of benefits offered. Plus, everything negative the public thinks about us IS true. Yet...we do nothing substantive to actually help abate those perceptions, except tell them NO.

Despite getting the f#&k beat out of us by T-Mo, we're still terribly arrogant with our customers. At one time, there really wasn't a choice. Now, there are tons. And all of those people we f---ed over the year? Yeah...they're gone. And they're not ever coming back. That'll be me in a few weeks as well.

Retail store field ops or Call Center?

Yes field 'Ops' - centers were reduced and field ops headcount remained unchanged. If you look at outliers for travel and overtime expenditures I'd wager your LTI that the majority are under field ops.
