Just got an invite for 4Q17 Resources Planning Call. Anyone know what this is regarding?

There were two calls, one for the ones on the list and one for the ones that are not on the list. Sounds like the TSC's and ASE's are in trouble.

Why would you remain employed? , always under the gun, i do not know any other company that have layoffs every 3 months,people WAKE UP!!!!@
Our VP invited us to the call and seemed as though he was reading from the script. He told us there will be sending out layoff surveys which will allow people to volunteer. If you did not receive a survey it means definetly you will be gone. Based on the number of volunteers, they will go after the people on the call. They will be evaluating performance and training and need and based on those factors they will let people go. Even our leadership was caught by this layoff. Seems like the decision came from the C suite and that decision did not come down to our management. I guess we will know next week.
I don't think if you're invited to the call it necessarily means you're getting surplused. I believe you'll be read a script and they will ask for volunteers first. Next week you'll know for sure if you're getting a letter based on how many people volunteered and many people more they need to ensure that the top executives can continue making multi-million dollar salaries. That's what I think is happening.
I am hearing that Strat/Tact/Bae/fiber teams all got the call. Also ASCs that support these rolls. Could they be combining this business segments? Or are we thinking they are al going to be effected by layoffs? That’s a lot of folks.
The scope of the realignment/reorganization will by far be the deepest cuts we have ever seen. ARSM's will be competing for store manager positions. 1 in 5 ARSM's will make it. SEL teams, gone. There will be one regional support group located in Dallas. VPGM/DOS - will not exist. Our business account executives are all gone. You should have known something was fishy when you are training the stores to do your job!! I cannot comment much on other departments as I am mostly on consumer side. Get ready for your call invite @ 4pm tomorrow EG/Mobility.

If you got invite, your job will be consolidated and you are on official surplus and off payroll December 15th.
Take the severance and run! No one should live in this environment where you never know when your last day is going to be.
AT&T is exiting wireless and wired in general.
It means that you are on the list of being surplused. It will depend on how many volunteees they will get.
Does it mean your getting surplused if you got an invite or could they be simply talking but talking about org changes? Very concerned! I’m on the fiber team!
Hearing 3000 employees are getting let go this round. Not surprising it September and they kick you out the door right at the holiday season.
