IT'S HAPPENING AT THE END OF DECEMBER. RECEIVING CLERK POSITION WILL BE ELIMINATED AND LEAD POSITION WILL BE RESTRUCTURED WITH MORE RESPONSIBILITY. MY CLUB HAS ALREADY GOTTEN RID OF THE CLERK AND THE LEAD IS DOING IT ALL. IT'S JUST SAD BECAUSE MY CLERK WAS WITH THE COMPANY FOR 23 YEARS!!

Does anyone have any concrete information if the receiving clerk position is being illuminated? If so when?
So I wonder.... how did this rumor even get started? It seems to me months are going by with no news. I want to know if the clerk is going away or not! If you have answers just say so! If not go away and stop making rumors up.
Oh and I forgot to mention my club manager told me the other day Sam's Club is closing for good in 2019..... SEE HOW EASY IT IS TO START RUMMORS THAT ISNT TRUE!

My Club Manager said read policy on The Wire they can't talk to us about our severance pay like they did in the past, PTC office no help,
Called Home Office just get pasted around or on hold for ever & never picking up. No one wants to talk to us. Such a Cold Hearted Co.we are numbers to them nnothing more.

I understand change & I'm glad to get out But I'm very upset on how badly we are being treated while they are pushing us out at the Holidays . So Very Sad..
December 1st will be the cutoff, there's still plenty of time to fire them and not give them a bonus.
Receiving clerk position going away beginning or end of December still qualifies clerks to receive their bonus because of the (2) months addition given before exit is due. The exit date will then be in February and to qualify for the bonus you need to be employed thru the end ofJanuary 31.
Cash Office Lead 30yrs missed two days and push to the corner like a trash can where is the Respect for the individual now... last day 12/1
IMO I agree receiving clerk tasks have been brought to minimum hours a day and along with the rest of the club audit and now cash office it makes sense all desk jobs are going away. Tasks continue to be taken away and simplified. You can deduce day receiving will have a different structure and possibly different roles for associates in it such a DSD role PT and so on. It’s all a guessing game until it happens. Hope rec. clerks stay a long time or at least until Samshare next year. With the pace of clerk tasks going away the next logical thing is for the something that has to do with the bill pay piece. Bunzl bill payment by clerk is going away with GNFR scan ordering. Scan everything!!! Geez watch for more bills to be paid automatically.

nothing about clerk or t/l in receiving yet. being a rec.clerk I only have about 2 hrs work a day anymore so I'm ready for this to be over.I think we are here til after all the event freight is in then we will hear something. My days are numbered, I was hired on as clerk 25 yrs ago and their is nothing else in this building I want to do but walk out the door

I'm the lead and it is more than opening doors and boxes. The receiving clerk is losing a lot of there jobs.
Being a receiving clerk is alot of responsibilty. To me being a receiving team lead is just opening doors and signing for ups and fdex. I can see where you can do both.
I've worked as the clerk and lead for 7 years. Didn't need a separate clerk then, dont need it now. BYE FELICIA!!
@pxbdayY-qwg if you get the smaller counter you only get 20 hours for jewelry associate. We had remodel in spring. Smaller counter was put up front by electronics. Jewelry associate only gets 20 hours for checking in shipments and doing audits. COS responsible for rest. Our jewelry clerk kept her job by working rest of time in clothing
@PxbdayY did your clerk leave of their own accord and was never replaced? Or were they actually eliminated? There are instances where jobs come open and they take a while to fill. Was the clerk let go for cause and club was told position is going away so it won't be replaced. Please respond otherwise what you've said seems suspect.
I think some jerk just started up a bunch of lies to scare people. Could they be union related? Hmmmmmm
Regardless of when, we all know it's coming. Scared? No. Sad? Yes We have given them the best years of our lives with blood, sweat and tears to have them not appreciate any of it. Stand strong fellow associates, take a deep breath and know you're better then how we're being treated.
I have the heard rumors no more jewelry associates after the end of October. The new kiosk would be maintained by the COS. If that was correct they would of announced by now.
every club is working their clerks differently from what I have gathered from other invoice clerks in my mrkt....For anyone that know receiving their is only about 3 hours of work for office if that any more and we are being give other things to do because they need us yet for the holidays. I do expect to be gone by first of year. Meaning we won't get our Sams share either.Most of us us I suspect have been in this position double digits years. I don.t want to be on the other side of the retail business ...Whatever happens it's sad but going to happen
everyone has been told or heard something. the truth is nothing is real until it is. i was told something myself that hasn’t been talked about on here yet. and it makes just as much sense actually more than some of what’s been written. could be what works in one club doesn’t in another.
I was told that things were happening by market and not all markets were making changes. No one knows what is happening for sure and we won't know until it happens. Why start scareing people for no reason?
How do you know it is happening at the end of December? if they did this in your club now why would they wait until December to roll it out company wide?
