Alot of the overnight people probably will move on they work that sh-- for reasons ..one the differential and some just because they don't want to be bothered with alot of people and the day time drama... in some states your looking at an automatic loss of 1.50.. who can lose that right off the bat.. most of us live check to check... severance , unemployment, free training... and no more Sam's club BS ....sounds good to me ...
Yes. Going to have a robot do it. How ridiculous are you? It's against the law to not have the gas stationed manned...
Gas station is compliance they have to have associate out there during operation hours.
In My Opinion I think about let me go and i'm full time to something just don't see right
Just a guess but if they eliminate the overnight shift and move those associates to mornings and afternoons, they could train those people for gas, which would mean reduced hours for gas associates. If you go with the premise that having more people during the day and evenings instead of overnight gives you more flexibility, then all areas of the club conceivably could see reduced hours. Don't have two people in tires tonight? No problem, former overnight associate Tom, who now works afternoons, knows how to torque a tire, he can be the second technician tonight. No extra hours for a closing Bakery associate on Tuesday and Wednesday nights? Teach the former overnight Clothing stocker how to write "Happy Birthday" on a cake, BAM!! Problem solved. I do not agree with these scenarios as a wise business decision, but be prepared because IN MY OPINION they are coming.
