IT Security Teams Consolidating

The security planning functions for IT is consolidating this means all the IT Security staff are being transferred to the Corporate Information Security department that is under Mike Loughlin who runs Corporate Risk.

The amazing thing is WF has been mismanaging IT Security planning to protect their computer systems for many years. For the last decade, security teams have run amok and have been submitting paperwork attesting to security controls that don't make any sense. This shows that there is more misconduct inside the organization, in which unqualified and poorly trained employees tasked with assessing risks to computer systems were screwing up and exposing the company to cybersecurity threats because they're simply unqualified and disorganized.

How much more dirt has the company swept under the rug? I wouldn't bank there.

The security teams in all the divisions and those inside the corporate IT and Information Security should be off-shored to Costa Rica pronto!

Some of IT groups are just plain incopentent. They mask this by creating constant drama. If you are in IT you know what I am talking about.

It'll be interesting if the upcoming purges (cutting $2B in cost???) will address this issue.

It's about to turn ugly...

No I don't agree as the unqualified and disorganized people still work there doing their damage. And they still haven't been fired to be held accountable.

Based on what you are saying (and I am not in IT) things are improving. Yes, it may have been bad before but we are better now - would not you agree?
