Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Work keeps piling on due to layoffs

Did anyone see the most recent email this afternoon? The RS's will no longer do the mDAT starting with new enrollments on Monday 9/25. They say this is so that the care managers can have the benefit of doing the mDAT themselves and learning about the member on the first call. Here's another job duty added from a down-sized position, just like having us take over ordering Healthwise material. fewer RS's, fewer CHE's, more tasks for care managers. No emails received about lowered productivity numbers for care managers, though!

Below poster: You make a fair point about some associates possibly working longer hours and producing more than others. But in my PHC world, that option was taken away. We are not salaried like HCMs and if we are found to be online before or after our designated shift, we are coached and eventually reprimanded more formally. The higher-ups are keeping a close eye on our work times to be sure no one is getting an unfair advantage over other PHCs. At least it levels the playing field, but I still think top performers are not necessarily doing high quality calls or paying attention to detail in documentation. I've seen that issue myself from people who covered my roster while I was on PTO or helped me catch up with overdue calls. Not everyone is delivering quality work and not all calls are reviewed, so it won't always be caught.

Well that is how they are cutting back on $$$$ Pile us with other jobs and cut those that were doing those jobs. Next we will be doing the resource stuff that the SSM does. Then they will tell HCM "well your rosters are lower, you have people put to monitored status you can handle it".....this BS that the "numbers don't matter now" is trash. Talk about smoke up our A@#.

Come on now you are talking quality.....and "work your time and do as many as you can" and "touch as many members a day as you can'. Then we have IDIOT HCM's who are doing 10-12 successes per day with the added new MOC and HAH 2.0. doing HW and all....come on people you can not tell me only doing 8 hours per day and hitting high numbers. You are working over time and hurting your other HCM's by setting bar too high for those of us who have to only do 8 hrs.....STOP being brown nosers.

I can't stand the Kool Aid spin from leadership. We are now ordering materials from Healthwise = "great opportunity to be involved in what is sent to the members." We are now going to be chasing members for initial mdats = "great opportunity to get to know the members." When they stopped enrolling hccp telephonic members for much of 2017 = "great opportunity to catch up on rosters!"

BS, BS, BS. We all know that the changes are a result of RIF. We can handle the reality of what's going on and what's to come. Enough BS!
