Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The smart ones are leaving

The smart ones are leaving. AT&T is transforming from a company that provides content access, to a company that provides content. We really are not that concerned about having an actual network. Randall has already stated that our future revenues will be derived from advertising. This company is no longer an innovator. We buy our way into the big leagues. Or try to. This company will NEVER be a Google or Amazon. We are not smart enough. The truly bright leaders and innovators will pass on AT&T's restrictive and suffocating corporate culture. A culture of manufactured efficiency numbers and spreadsheet management. AT&T will always exist in some form, but will never be a leader in the entertainment industry, which is their desire.

Bumped from @Ppfc3F1-okg for being on point.

Old news, they started leaving in 2012, most of the people that are currently employed are just average, and it is going to get worse
