Get rid of the non productive Solutions Managers

A large part of the problem is "Store Management" in the corporate stores. On slow days they come in and hang out for 8 hours, they also come and go as they please just as long as one of them is their. A lot of non productive hours wasted. During busy times one will stand up front directing all sorts of issues at the Solution specialists. They will not engage the customer and filter out the issues that we can't solve.. We had a senior that was having trouble with her Macy's App, because the "Solutions Manager"(Do nothing Club) did not at least tell her there is a 30 minute wait or tell her there's not much we can do apart from uninstalling the app and then reinstalling, she waited for 30 minutes with no solution. See the real problem in the corporate stores! No one will admit there is no "tech support" in the stores, it's a constant problem everyday and with a quota that's unattainable. Save money and get rid of the non productive Solutions Managers.

To prnZR79, you are living in a dream world, I hope you snap out of it soon, we are commissioned sales people and you are part of the problem, your quote "in my store" tells it all. Say no more.

hahaha i remember hearing about those sheets. What a load of sh--. Give me a couple of "bundle" options and do everything you can to make the one with the most junk look good. You guys used to have a program to i forget the name but it would give options to discount phone lines or phones and you guys abused that to death telling customers they were getting deals and slamming them with sh-- they dont need. Wireless workers are worse than used care salesmen.

Verizon has an earn the right "etr" where the goal should be to fix your issues then make a recommendation for a new product to sell you based on discovery questions. The job of the rep is to then bundle slam your a-- with multiple growth products based on an "option" sheet. The goal is to make certain options look so bad that you choose the other one with growth products. They make prices look better with options so that it entices you to pick that option. I know its confusing but verizon doesnt care about you as a customer. they want to hold u up by the ankles so all your change falls out of your pockets

Its one thing if i come in looking at phones and im not sure if im ready to buy then yeah you should be trying to sell me. However if i come in cause im having an issue with something on my phone the person signing in should see if its quick fix before throwing me in your endless lines and before i start getting sales pitches thrown at me left and right. My issue is the main reason im here help me and focus on my issue not everything is about selling.

For those who don't like trying to sell things to people who didn't come in wanting to buy should probably look for another job. What that's called is clerking and you can go to Best Buy for that. That's where the last of our underperforming reps went to when they couldn't handle this job.

1amp take a swig of your VZ kool-amp and get back to the sales floor slamming customers some Hums. Obviously you are part of the reason they are moving to an hourly wage. Unrealistic targets are motivating unethical sales behaviors. VZ is just too stupid to figure it out.

@PrnZR79-svj, it appears yours was the first reply to the original post. What in the OP makes you believe it's "...clearly a union landline idiot..." who authored it?

By the way, as others have mentioned, if you're going to be throwing the idiot label about, it's a good idea to at least do so within a grammatically correct statement, one with no spelling errors.

I suspect @PrnZR79-svj has a hidden agenda in that silly post, that of provocateur. Yet the rank and file didn't fall for it.

Nice try troll.

Yes cause that’s what I want as a customer come in for an issue and get hassled to buy something. Oh and that’s after you make me wait in an hour line for an app issue that you may have been able to fix if you took the time rather than throw me in a line.

Solutions specialists are supposed to be commissioned employees so you should be trying to look for sales opportunities with any customer even those coming in for help on third party apps like the Macy's app. The solutions specialists in my store actually hate it when the managers try to sell at the door. They would rather the managers just sign them in so the reps can pitch products the way they want to. Stop complaining about managers and start acting like a commissioned sales professional. In order to make money in our business we have to look for opportunity wherever we can get it and if it's from some woman needing help with a Macy's app, then help her with that issue and try to sell her on products at the same time.

Our manager is talking on her phone all day when the Gm isn't there or leaves for the day. She's talking about vacation and her boyfriend. Doesn't jump in sales. Takes credit when a rep does sell a hum. Got her job by having kneepads if you know what I mean. She should be fired. Plus she's a c--t

“Weather or not the device receives signal”

Well when you cant figure out “whether” versus “weather” i can see why you shouldn’t troubleshoot anything.

Lol you're clearly a union landline idiot.

I do agree with you on one point, there is no tech support in corporate stores. We don't make the Macy's app. There's absolutely ZERO reason we should troubleshoot anything besides hardware and weather or not the device receives signal.
