Do you know anything about rules or policy that is enforced if someone wants to be rehired by Sam's Club? I am thinking about reapplying if I get laid off in this round. Thanks!

Has anyone been Non hiredble, then got rehired again?
The policy has changed to three months. You must return before the 13th week to keep your seniority and pay rate if you are lucky enough to get a job in the same job code pay rates.
If you get re-hired it won't be at the rate of pay you left at. You might get some slight experience credit but you're looking at starting back @ $10.50 - $12.00. If you were only making that then ok, but fir a 20+ yr salary, not so great. Also, unless you're fortunate enough to get hired back full time (doubtful) you won't have insurance as PT doesn't qualify anymore, ever. But good luck.
It depend on how many weeks your severance pl was
You can come back sooner than 6 months if you are laid off/quit and If you leave on good terms. If you are fired than you must at least 6 months to be rehired. It will be the Department Manger and the General Manger decisions if they will rehire you for the company. You will not be rehired for the company for certain reasons though. Example stealing company time, theft, and job abandonment.
After 6 months you can reapply
who would want to go back?
I am original poster. Thank you all.
Guess that would be comment 'below' lol, not above. 😜
Our audit team member was able to leave and come back before the 6 month wait period, so it can be done. Agree with comment above by Will.
As long as you didn’t leave on bad terms, you can reapply after 6 months I believe. But I think they changed it to a year, not sure any more since I stepped down from team lead. But like it ultimately comes down to the GM’s decision. They can bring you back before the wait period if you talk to him/her. Like most policies, the GM’s kinda twist them around to suite their own needs and to avoid taking a hit on the bottom line. It’s a good and bad thing. Good luck!
