Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

So no strike for iPhone launch?

Smart move, now you guys have nothing. Best time would have been to strike for iPhone launch, but clearly the Union feels they have no recourse and are coming up weak in the negotiations. All i see is members requesting strike strike strike and yet they’re sitting their asking you to wear buttons and show solidarity this weekend? Pitiful!!!! You guys are going to get slammed with a crappy contract.

That’s the point, striking during iPhone launch would have given the power to the Union. When do you call a strike now that the time has passed? If they wait any longer it will roll into the holidays and your gonna force your members to choose between striking and scabbing during the holidays? We seriously going to wait until spring next year? That’s exactly what your members want is to wait another half year especially dealing with more BS from AT&T.

Dumb a--. You strike during this time and they will find other people to do your job. You think they are going to allow you to have that much power. Plus the call center should request a separate contract from COR. You are holding them back from getting a contract. CIA are idiots.

T's plan is to close all COR stores except for the flagship stores. (Which may I add are an embarrassment in customer service). They plan on shifting all sales to AR. Only problem is the ARs are starting to realize corporate's idea of profitability does not align with the ARs bottom line. Spring thought if they followed T's lead they'd be profitable. They were up to 1450 stores at 1 point. Now they're closing stores every month. So, sales will eventually be online exclusively they way they are going or things will have to change.

So if the problem is sales reps losing money there wont be a chance to strike. You have the holidays coming up is CWA going to call a strike during the holidays? Not likely as they would come off as bigger a--holes than CWA. The time to do it was now. That time has passed you guys are done for

I am frustrated, sales is dying and will not survive, and they didn't strike because sales core reps would lose money. For us that are on the other side are getting tired of this and want to get a contract going and get this over width. Sorry sales, but your time is ending.

The illusion called Union is like a metastatic growth, there are malignant growths at a distance from a primary site as this conglomerate is getting so big that reached stage 4 when they backed the Time Warner inc merger
