Anyone that puts any work in above and beyond of what is required makes you a big fool. You can join the posse of circle jerks. You can all sit around and jerk eachother off in one big circle while telling eachother how great you all are. Fools. Fools. Fools. All of you. Fools!! You are just a number. Circle jerks are big with millenials.
If you're motivated and like your work, do what you want. After rising in the ranks, I hit the wall. For me, it just took bad management to s--- the life out of me in less than 1 year. Took the package and loving life again.
Yup. Spot on. Especially when v teamers drive the big a$$ Verizon trailers full of bull$hit into and Houston and Flordia so they can take "look at me" pictures and then post them 1000 times on linked In, Instagram and Facebook. Verizon responding to disasters is the biggest circle jerk of them all.
They make the diaster more about themselves and how they are helping soooo much than about the victims. Here's a thought: just help people and shut the fu© up.
You got that right. I left over 5 years ago .... and I was there for over 10 years in IT. I went from being highly motivated, won awards for productivity and cost savings ..... and went to making myself the most unproductive resource in my group .... so I could get the severance.
And I got the severance, banked 100% of it and had another "first class job" in 1 month ... and once again started getting bonuses and awards. And once again I'm motivated and appreciatated and appreciative. Not something Verizon cares about anymore.
But the thing I hated most about Verizon, were the s---@ss onshore people that would stoop to any level to make their boss happy .... knowinng their job was being offshored. And most of the s---@sses weren't any more talented than the 3rd world H1Bs jungle monkeys taking their jobs. But they knew how to swallow and wipe their chin after each manager meeting.
Glad I'm gone. Can't wait to see the whole wretched company sold to the lowevest bidder. Good riddance.
