Tell me. The strategy Verizon is so very good at. Was it their strategy to fail at GO90? To spend billions on prehistoric dot coms like AOL and Yahoo that will never generate an ROI? To have garbage telematics products like HUM? To spend hundreds of millions on smart stores and destination stores which customers could give a $hit about? To have a B2B offering called OneTalk which every VoIP providers on the planet already offers for free?

Verizon is doing what they do very well, planning their strategy. Do you honestly think they should tell it's competitors what their next move is going to be? Lowell and his advisors are seasoned and experienced business leaders that will continue to look out for the best interest of Verizon as a whole. If we fall, they fall! It's called Business 101.
I guess this means that the WBG is about to be dismantled. If they cant travel around the country to get their 25 new activations a month what will they do?? I have never seen so much waste in travel expense for non-productivity. The whole VES worthless team should be flushed.
This is exactly what happened in a company I worked for in the early 2000s. You couldn't even get staples. Supply room totally cleaned out. Then the company must have cut enough costs and they got acquired by another company. Maybe Verizon is trying to do the same? Look pretty enough so someone wants us? Looks like it to me. I just don't want to end up like most of the XO employees.
No OT at all and we can't even order supplies for our store. We have no toilet paper, paper, pens or anything since the company won't approve it. We have to bring in our own supplies. Reminds me when I worked for another company that went under.
Nationwide, the training department is told Zero OT, Zero Overnight Travel, etc. I still can't wrap my head around this bullshiz.
All around, our DMs and Directors are jumping ship left and right. We currently have roughly 6 or 7 GM spots open with at least 3 DM spots and 2 director spots opened as well in our combined territories.
Never seen people wanting to bail more so than right now. Lifers...that you thought would be here forever.
I'm not waiting. I'm actively interviewing elsewhere.

Cut $10 billion. Yeah sure. Let's see, no valuable assets left to sell since sold off wireless towers and almost all of wireline. So just a bunch of fat employee bloat to cut into.
I'm no math wizzard, but I would say $10 billion translates roughly into about a 25% to 35% reduction in force.
We haven't been allowed overtime for a couple of years now and I've been trying to get a screwdriver since 2015.....so we've already been working under a zero budget.
