PER Action Plan

The following message was sent to all Glendale employees

MESSAGE FROM SITE LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

POSITIVE EMPLOYEE RELATIONS ACTION PLAN | GLENDALE

Dear Colleagues,

The Site Leadership Council (SLC) has analyzed the PER survey results and the comments received during the PER focus groups. The information was used to develop an action plan, targeting two key areas the SLC and Managers can positively influence at our site to improve positive employee relations.

The two key areas we are focusing on this year are Career Growth and Pride.

• Career Growth – We will be asking all people managers to have a career planning discussion with their employees. A career planning discussion is different from a development plan, which typically focuses on developing in areas where there’s opportunity for growth, such as behaviors or skill gaps. A career plan focuses specifically on the employee’s short-term and long-term career goals and identifies steps they need to take to achieve their career aspirations. A Career Plan may align to an employee’s overall Development Plan, however, the two plans are different.

• Pride – People managers will start holding quarterly team building activities. Please share your team building ideas with you manager; be creative and have some fun!

During the September 27th All Hands, the SLC will talk about the PER Action Plan in more detail. Be sure to attend!

The joke starts with the terminology: "positive employee relations". How about just getting real and calling it "employee relations" like every other company does.

The dream of Hon is to have all people involved with building things, production, supply chain be contract workers. Toronto already that way, Tucson very soon. Just a matter of time.

It's a little sad to have to 'force' team building exercises. I think it's an obvious indicator that morale is so low and some of the leadership at least recognizes that. But it's a pathetic try to up it. Maybe stop abusing us instead?

Yeah because the cheap vanilla ice cream social they provide us sure makes up for furloughs, layoffs, years without raises and losing out on the actual company events we used to have.

I quit taking any and all surveys years ago. Nothing but useless B.S.. If they need a survey to figure out what's going on, there is no hope, and they can go pound sand

People don't partake in these PER surveys. All it does is alows more ways for them to screw you over at review time because you didn't participate in the career growth or pride.
