Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

att is possibly discriminating against seniors, low income and technology Illiterate

I recently overheard some ladies at a hairdresser company the mix message that Att is doing . The girl said Att is discriminating in how the offer arrangements for past due accounts. She said if you go on line or to the my Att app you can make any arrangements in the payment arrangements Calendar. However, if you call in the customer service people are misleading the customer saying you have to pay it the same day you are speaking to them or giving a time within a week. So they test the theory while looking on line At the dates they called in to the customer service line the person on the phone said she had til the 11/4/17 and the app said 11/23/17. This is not fair to people can’t do business on line. I think they may be heading towards a class action suit and s fcc complaint. Discrimination at it best

the company is discriminating against older workers in the layoffs and have been for some time. It started a long time ago with "retirement incentives." They never try to lure 20 and 30-somethings off payroll because they are young and cheap -- lower salaries, less vacation time, no pension, younger and [usually] in good health. If you look at t how the data distributes for those laid off, it's weighted toward older workers. If you find yourself on the surplus list - you'd better take a good, long, close look at that Age Discrimination data they hand out, and consult an attorney.

AT&T is promoting the app and on -line Payments and arrangements so they can eliminate jobs at call centers. Smh, how stupid are you? Att is all about cutting jobs to get out of the heavy debt they are in. This is the LAYOFF site smfh. If you try to file a lawsuit for discrimination you will look like the fool you are. Also, payment arrangements are still given but for a shorter amount of time because too many people are more than 2 months behind on their payments. Att is changing with or without you.

AT&T is doing this all online so blacks can’t get payment arrangements.

Fun fact. She’s literally using a smartphone so she has access to MyATT, genius, which she indicated in her story, or so you say.

I'm glad you overheard Sally and Gretchen at the salon getting their hair done complaining about AT&T. Must be an evil company let's go online and write an essay about it.

There is a type of discrimination that fundamentally affects people in poor areas and how T charge differently based on the urgency & income levels of the buyer, and service availability,

I work in a call center for Att. We are coached to get the balance the same day ,if you call in. We have targets to meet to keep our jobs. Maybe, they should have a Millennium help them learn how to pay and make arrangements on line. It may sound harsh but that’s the company position on that. Dog eat dog process
