Dropping new tech on us with no training

I am an accounting associate and we got our cash recycler this last thursday. It has been a major headache and source of stress for us, but that's because the day after we got it, Friday, til Monday morning, no finalizations happened, so we were stuck with literally 30 minutes of training and 3 accounting days of work to do. This combination of a call off and not just insufficient but wholly lacking training meant that my Lead and I spent 11 hours on Monday just trying to figure out how to do a deposit and what to put in it. We left disgusted and unsuccessful. On Tuesday we joined a conference call of several clubs having similar complaints, and finally started to make progress, but just yesterday we caught up with the correct business day. It is seriously a pain in the a--.

We had nearly the same thing happen, @PH9vIAq-3hxk. Why they think this is okay is beyond me. We lost so many hours trying to figure stuff out. I can see this turning into an unmitigated disaster very soon.

that is why they rolled it out in waves, and their is a home office team dedicated to transition, sorry that it wasn't smooth, but honestly your clubs will have the kinks rolled out in a week, if not less.

They don't count the tills. They just run them through the machine. And I'm not a pt cashier. 17yr full time associate.

To the person that said their machine is working great - u are so lucky and I am jealous that u have a recycler working with 0 glitches. It has nothing to do with not accepting change, complaining, or bashing. For my club and associates: recycler not allowing some associates to check out tills, cash office associates working split shifts and long hours with no days off and no sleep as they deal with so many issues including not being to finalize for 2-3 days and all contact people are unable to help and we are transferred to multiple people wh cannot help and tell us there is nothing more they can do for us and then hang up on us as we beg for help to just do our job and do our best U have no idea what we have been through so just stop! Don't assume!

PM5jJVe-3uwi. and so says the pt cashier working 20 hrs a week living with mommie that hasn’t put in 15 plus years and has family and responsibilities. so managers are really that stupid that they count your till so you can hurry out to play? i doubt that.

Machine works great at my club. Saves so much time. Managers offer to do the tills at the end of the night to help get cashiers out, if they don't want to do their tills themselves. Instead of complaining about every change and bashing the company. Maybe be open to change. It's retail. It's gonna happen....

Why is it sams can hire summer help and pay 13 something a hour only because his/her parent works there? Not doing a job that pays requires that pay. Kinda hard for the people who actually work for their money and their postion .

Has anyone who is leaving dec 1st received a packet in the mail to their home yet? We are supposed to receive it some time before dec 1st to read and sign the agreement and mail back in to receive our severance pay.

this is and has been for years now the sam’s way. OJT and more often than not, figure it out yourself. they know in the beginning there’s problems but “they’ll take care of it” meaning you. but i wonder unless you or the lead plans to stay on for those coveted 12-16 why would you even care or get so stressed out. ours will be here soon and so will dec 1. so to let this stress me is crazy. i’ve had enough stress for the last few weeks with the layoff announcement. so i just can’t care at all about my replacement,

Still have yet to receive it. I am a lead who is leaving for another job. Hoping they install it within the next two weeks so I can help my coworkers figure it out. I feel bad for them getting stuck with it.
