Well this will never be admitted by the company, but they want young people in the stores, so that the millennials will feel comfortable with people their age, since that's the group that spend the most money. Oh sure they will have a few people over 40 in the stores, so an age discrimination lawsuit could never be proved, but having worked for the company for 2 decades, believe me, they do not want older experienced people in the store. Young people with no experience come cheaper (big factor for big red) and they can more easily be molded into zombie-like robots that do not think for themselves, and don't question the deceitful high pressure sales tactics the company makes the reps practice.
