From what I read here, severance is a week for every six months you've been with AT&T. I was wondering, however, if anybody knows if it caps at certain number of years, or if it will truly be for all the time you spent with the company. I survived this round of layoffs, but I'd like to know and be prepared for the next time (and we all know there will be a next time, sooner rather than later.)

What about if you’re fired, not laid off. Do you still get a severance? In Home Expert in the Midwest region
Has anyone heard if severance packages are being offered ALL throughout the country both for in-region and out of region areas? Seems to me that ATT is still hiring technicians and managers in OOR areas, so I’m not so sure!
For Wire Techs its 4 weeks only, regardless of time in service. The expendable group that made the upper echelon rich only to take up the butt.
Depends on the region. The West union severence, for example, is 60 weeks pay for 20 years of service. At $33.06 an hour, it equates to approximately $79,344 ...
Anything above 20 years you get an additional 4 weeks of pay for every year thereafter (25 years gets you 80 weeks).. and so on....
Actually the orange contract is follows:
$700 or one weeks wages (whichever is greater)for each completed 6 months of continues service during the first year and an additional $700 or one weeks wages for each subsequent completed year of continuous service up to a maximum of $17,000.
As of black contract it’s 1 week of pay every 6 months of employment.
They changed severance again? 7 or 8 years ago was 1 month per year up to 6 months for 6 years, 6 months max. Last year's lay offs were up to 6 months and you had to be there 13 years to get 6 months. Now it's 20 years to get six months?
Union members under orange is $700 per 6 months of service
I never received my severance package and I was with the company for almost four years.

0-1: 4%
2: 8%
3: 12%
4: 16%
5: 20%
6: 24%
7: 28%
8: 32%
9: 36%
10: 40%
11: 44%
12: 48%
13+ : 50%

Management (Levels 1-3 or could be 1-4) tops out at 6 months severance for 20 years service. Bargained for employees have an entirely different schedule that is region/contract dependant.
Union severance is usually week pay for every year completed up to like 17000
If you are a union employee the severance package is different.
