Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I was in sh--ting on retail. It was more a commentary that it seems every post a retail person comes in and relates it to retail. L2s exist outside of retail.

Locations are remote employees, Dallas, El Segundo, Georgia, Colorado,

In addition to ATO, marketing, commercial, MDU, product teams have also been hit.

Retail employees losing their jobs aren't any less important than other groups. The sh--iest part of people emerges in these situations, for Christ's sake have compassion...you're fellow coworkers aren't your enemy..it's insatiable corporate greed that is... ATO is affected: TSMs, BAs, Engineers, PMs, Associate Directors, Solutions Architects, have all been hit. The goal is a 30% redux across the enterprise.

SOOOOO sick of hearing about Retail!!! Come on people. Give it a break already! Does anyone know of any confirmed layoffs in OTHER DEPARTMENTS?? Network? ATO? If so, which locations and percentages?

You know there is more to AT&T than retail right?

What do you mean by L2s ranked their team? RSMs aren't being impacted so why would level 2s be ranking them?

Yes. The question is how far in advance. I know of some L2s that were directed to rank their teams last week.

Would the L5s have known if their teams are impacted by this time?

Managers who are spineless will always have a job at AT&T. That is AT&T’s culture unfortunately.

If you can, take the severance package. AT&T is not the place you want to be if you care about your high tech career. I am learning this the hard way.
