Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

MORE AND MORE Synergies

It is easy working with shareholders money, but If You’re Not Growing, You’re Dying, or In life support as fas as AT&T is concerned, Being close to the generation of revenue is safest place to be in most organizations. While a few of us intuitively know that this is true – that making money for our companies will lead to increased job security, This months lesson "generating revenue is so important in most organizations, Unfortunately, we can say that the stock performance hasn't impressed anyone in the past 5 years.. Even by including its juicy payout, T is behind the market by 60%: to the CEO better start talking about something else, those synergies you talk about sound more like BS by the day.LOL

They outsource at every opportunity and create a hostile work environment, and then wonder why people leave and hate the company.

AT&T will never become google they do not have the brains to go head on against google. They wanted to compete against amazon in cloud and lost that battle now they are partnering up with AWS. They cannot get DirectTV now to work. Hulu came out with cloud Dvr capabilities where is AT&T cloud dvr :)

AT&T no longer has a “product” to sell. They’re not supporting their dial tone business, just as well since that business is slowly dying. However, they are ignoring their wireless side, losing customers at a frightening pace. Thay are outsourcing their cloud operations, they have cut their technical folks to the point that long haul circuits are suffering, affecting the Verizon’s, Southwest Airlines, etc. There will come a time when those major companies will go with someone else that will support them. Admittedly, right now their choices are limited, but Google is laying fiber all over the country, and there will always be microwave. The only thing T seems to be offering is big data. Not sure that alone will keep the stockholders interested in the long haul. I honestly think that T’s obsession with trying to out Google Google will be their ultimate downfall.
