Are the STEM jobs being outsourced? Any info?

Yes they are outsourced to mostly Accenture and Ventera
STEM was outsourced a loooong time ago. AT&T got rid of most of the degreed engineers in the first lay-off and we all went and tripled our salaries working for other companies.
This is the screwed up thing. AT&T execs go to congress complaining that there not enough stem workers begging them to extend H1B and here they are laying of 30% of their stem employees some of who are very good with phds.
Why not outsource technical jobs? Because there are plenty of US citizens who would qualify and do a good job, if they were will to accept 25% of the going rate. This is in the richest country in the world.
