ARSMs are indeed affected. Many ARSMs and DOS's will be gone.

Yes. If you are on the 2nd call it is announcing what groups have already been notified and impacted.

Just had our call. ARSM's and DOS's are the affected workgroups in retail.
Not always the case. In our market it was reverse. The first call those were safe and made aware of what was going to happen. The subsequent call was to unload the bad news.
There are two separate calls on 10/11/2017, one at 10am and the other at 11am. Typically HR (Human Resources) are on these calls to inspect the communication of the "organizational changes". Historically, the parties who are attending the first call will be effected in some way, but typically if you're on the second call it means you're safe.

I would think ARSM and DOS would have the same model as the ASM cut this year: based on performance, talent, tenure etc. In this business everything is vague.
Officially they always decide based on performance including leadership ability and other subjective measures. In reality it is who your leadership decides they would rather have based on whatever they want. That’s why it’s always important to stay connected and network.
Anyone know of the ARSM DOS positions will be surplussed based on performance or tenure? How are they deciding who goes?
ARSM in OK AR are taking 30% cut - move will also impact Store Managers. Many will cover more than one store. SSRs gone within a year. Alliance Channel (Authorized Retail) model is a full court press. Many Level 1 and 2 stores will be phased out next year by newer authorized retail stores. CWA is as weak as ever while this has transpired.
SSR is being limited not removed
ARSM here, we've not been told anything about this one. However, there's been a nationwide hiring freeze on SSRS. So my best guess is that position will be going away.
Stage 2? What was stage 1 and what is stage 3? What’s the big picture?

In 2 months Retail will be completely different. In store prices will be higher than online. They will incentivize customers to start online or finish online. Your store and about 10 others will have one area manager. Store managers jobs will be much more intense and encompass more of what area managers had to do. SSRs will be gone in a few months. You will never talk to a DOS because there will be 1 DOS per market maybe 2 in huge markets.
Next year they will be reducing the number of markets to around 10. Cities with a lot of stores will be consolidated to fewer so a lot of locations will close. By the time we get to 2020 half our stores will be gone.
SSR is definitely going away but there is no community specialist position.
Look for SSRs to be phased out and a new community relations specialist position to take its place!
Store managers will be responsible for dealer stores around them
