VZ is scared to death of their VZW retail folks unionizing.

It would be awesome to see it happen.

They're getting ready to screw managers with these new "NextGen" store launches.

Each location will reduce manager headcount (yeah, even further!), and one GM will oversee 2 stores.

Sounds like some T-Mo bull$sh-- right there.

Under Trump, labor relations will only get worse as more companies merge and purge.

Don't buy into the hype that unions are redundant. They're becoming more and more necessary as each of our workloads increase but our paychecks don't.

You know full well that you're doing a LOT more in retail stores (wSAP, tech issues...all day, greeting, etc.). Things we used to have help with. Has your paycheck increased?

If I were still a rep, I'd sign a union card in a millisecond. I'd be shop steward too.

Every retail specialist is getting played hard because they're off the floor doing what the CSR/SS/RSS used to do. And you're supposed to make those sales how?

Union! (Norma Rae) (No...really)

@psy... Oh. You're worried that you won't be liked... HR and your DM will put pressure on you and try to write you up. Get over it... Stop crying and learn how to play the game. You cower to them and that's why you're scared. Because you're weak. And that's exactly why you find yourself in the position you are. Learn the lingo... use words like retaliation, hostile work environment, singling me out. They will back off quickly. They can't write you up if others have the same results as you. Use your head and fight back. You deserve better! Good luck!

No retaliation. That’s a joke. You complain about anything and your district manager and hr will micromanage the hell out of you to find anything to write you up. You even say UNION and it’s over and it’s all the general managers fault.

@fij Have you ever heard of retaliation? The company cannot fire anyone who wants to unionize. It is illegal. Let them try to fire someone who openly supports the Union and there can be legal ramifications. The truth is the company is scared to death of their employees unionizing. Don't believe the hype.... they can't and won't touch you!

Is this for real? They'll be out the door before you can finish the sentence. Vz thinks people working those jobs are a dime a dozen.
