AT&T has inked a deal to shift all of their dispatch operations to Oracle for all products by the end of next year. This includes IEFS (DirecTV)/U-verse, TFS (Core), and Mobility. Once the new dispatch platform is in place, their contracted workforce will manage the platform.

Your just now realizing that? They have been saying they are going to automate and reduce headcount for over a year now. The AVP has said it many times in many skip levels and townhalls.
Read the article from May 2017. The deal will "...do tasks like automating the dispatch of its 70,000 field technicians." Looks like more job cuts on the way.
This move will effect ALL titles in the Dispatch Optimization Center up to the department’s Vice President.
