Since the last surplus in June, our call group here in the Southeast has been monitored, from upper management, on every little thing we do. The boss has several meetings a week, to "fill her in" All of a sudden, we have more work that we can handle, and it's all a priority. It makes me wonder if they are using us just to get work caught up and closed out before they hand it over to someone else...

AT&T is the master of deception, in all areas, they want out of rural areas, their plan is not immediate, but slowly year after year less Union and more incompetence the management, which includes shady management practices,
asked anyone on disability about Sedwick, or talked to your HR assigned surplus manager when you time comes, they can't care less about your situation.
You're about to be surplused. It happened to us the same way. Slow, then more work than you can handle, weed out a few weak employees and then surplus the rest. We got a visit from the 5th line about our wonderful work. Six months later, he came back about our poor attendance. Six months after that, we were gone. First moron has no clue what he's talking about. More work is not job security. It's just more work and more ways for you to get fired before they have to give you a package.
I don't agree with the replied post. The reason being, is, they did the same thing to our group a few years ago, and we were surplused 6 months later. Our work went to another location. Sorry, but you had better keep an open mind where that's concerned.
Nope, upper level management change. The newcomers are more detail oriented than previous and also influence the amount of work each center gets. Getting more work is a good thing.
