Have you noticed everyone passing out water to a few people or visiting a shelter are posting it all over social media! They have to make sure everyone knows. Verizon teaches us to brag about EVERYTHING! People in Houston are really hurting but we all need to take time to thank these people that spend a day doing something that should be done from the heart. Pathetic!

My question is - did Blowell ever find that bad person wearing the Verizon shirt protesting in Charlottesville and send them to their room? He must be campaigning for his job next year - I've heard nothing but crickets since that email aired . . . OR it was a friend of a friend of a friend's employee and we let that one go, Sorry Blowell couldn't be the hero once again!

@xtk yes, it's true. Good that people will be helped by the money, sad to know that the motivation was 100% PR stunt.
But yeah the whole social media business is ridiculous. Hold on while i post a video contorting my body into the shape of the Verizon check mark, or hold up my hands to make the v2v sign, and share it so it can be posted on up to speed. I can not roll my eyes hard enough

As the saying goes, when you help someone and keep it to yourself, it's all about them. When you help someone and tell the world, it's all about you.
Of course they want you to brag. They are trying to win back all the customers they lost to competitors by trying to convince people their good corporate citizens. Ever notice how Verizon never does anything at a local level? They only give back in national situations that gives them the most press.
Some people are always finding something to complain about. I heard Verizon donated 10 million dollars. Is that true?
