I left Follett a year ago and don't regret it (former store manager). There's a lot of talent within that's not appreciated or looked over. Don't waste your time and get out of the Follett bubble. You all deserve better. Life goes on. Wish you all of you the best.

Yes it is. Once that shoe drops Follett and B&N will be in trouble. The students/customers will benefit tremendously though.
Whoops sorry for the typo
Cusious, is financial aid / campus card use still monopolized as part of the university-bookstore contract?
Moved on more than trolls. What an A$$!
Not only does Follett not care about employees, they don't care about customers either. Just imagine parents and grandparents taking their kids/grand kids to the bookstore for their first semester to buy books for them. They make a special trip, not all of the books are on the shelves (out-of-stock), because the store already sold their QTC (quota), than they stand in line for a long time to pay for their purchase, because the store doesn't have enough payroll to man all registers. Will these customers come back to the bookstore for future needs? Some will but many won't. How many customers has Follett chased away over the years? How many sales have they lost because they choke off the spigots?
I just don't care much anymore, looking at my paycheck, trying to follow directives, stupid QTC tolerance to not get on the red column then running out of books, putting up with HO bs, listening to customers whine, etc.. my passion is gone, realizing Follett does not care about it's hard working employees, time for me to move on.
Working for JH or RM-priceless. They seem to have lots of budget to add resources and make many promotions. SWEET!
Follett was a part of my life. I still check this board to see what is happening and also spend time talking with my ex-coworkers. Like most who worked at Follett, there was a period of time when it was an excellent place to work with excellent employees.
You left Follett a year ago yet you're still checking a site where Follett is being discussed, so you tell me how you've really moved on with your life!?!?
A lot of people are trying to get out.
Not that easy.
