Another Verizon Store Bites The Dust (Quietly)

I'm sure HQ wants to keep these stealth company owned store conversions on the down low. Slowly but surly they are chipping away at the number of Verizon stores.

Of course Verizon thinks they are special. That's why they rape their customers and say it's the network. That's why they come out with the stupidest products on earth and think they have invented the next iPhone.

Maybe you should get back to polishing Lowell's helmet vteamer.

@1gik and @1frl obviously you both deserve each other and your friends. If you are that uninformed about what is going on around you then obviously your friends deserve to lose their jobs. Retail is suffering globally and yet Verizon is supposed to be special? Sounds like the two of you should wear helmets all the time. Don't want to bang up the brains that are apparently not working right.

@1fri - don't be such a ©unt. People who work in retail deserve to know this is what is happening with Verizon stores. I don't work in retail but have a lot of friends that do. Hopefully posts like this will help them not be blindsided. Besides, it's not like Verizon is going to post this on up to speed or anything. They only talk about vteamer brainwashing.

They should require all stores that convert to s--- a-- indirects to display "authorized agent" below any signage so customers will know what to expect.

It is good business. Stop crying about store closings when customers are changing to buying from online. How much do you spend online versus retail stores? Things cannot stay status quo. While I get that you may work at these stores, shame on you for not preparing in doing something else. You cannot stay oblivious to how the market changes. I am behind the company on this one. Stores are never busy and it makes zero sense to keep it up simply because employees work there. This is dumb thinking. A company has to always reinvent themselves. Post something of value versus the constant "they are shutting down stores". It is wasteful spending. If you were a small business and didn't see customers coming through the door, you'd shut it down too.

Hey OP, surely you didn't mean surly, Shirley?

In this day and age where retailers in general are stronger than ever, and brick and mortar remain king, this is surprising.

Here are some more. You know someone somewhere at HQ knows how many stores will get closed this year, and next.

I'm sure they think they are very clever with this strategy as the public thinks these stores are not closing when in reality Verizon employees are losing their jobs and the crappy indirect jobs that replace them, have a fraction of the pay and benefits.
