Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Bad news for the haters

The Q2 numbers are going to be good. A lot of new net subs. Working for VZ s---s indeed, but Unlimited has turned things around for the numbers. I don't like the crappy management being rewarded any more than you do, but it's the truth.

Standby...they're still looking for $215M after claiming numbers looked better after "realigning" when we all know they realigned the numbers in layoffs. NP/Network is such a lying B, except saying "more of the same" is how they'll find the rest.

The numbers although not as bad as Q1 still are garbage. Revenue is down yoy which is bad. Verizon had a fraction of the growth T Mobile had which is bad. Wall Street set the bar so low they are calling this a victory. I still see the same poor performing company.

While not miserable numbers today, certainly below expectations given att and T-Mobile results. Met eps at 96, slight improvement in revenue, red flag on 1.9 % reduction in wireless revenue... No statement yet on net adds.... More to come after 830 call. Stock up 3% pre market.... Think that is mainly due to relief that they met expectations...will see how we do rest of week.

I still hope for the worst. We need a catalyst for regime change.

You make reference to 'seeing the numbers' ........ Your comments should stop right there as that is what the SEC would consider inside information. But given you make statements on a rif message board simply means you know nothing.

OP and OscpvS4-xfg here. I've seen the numbers. We're destroying AT&T and Sprint right now.

This analyst suggests the other carriers posting good numbers is a bad thing for Verizon because they had to get their gains from another carrier. Either Sprint or Verizon both haven't reported yet:

Don't get excited kids . Top financial analysts suggest Comcost buy out Verizon for $215 billion. VZ stocks down 17% this year and VZ has churned more customers than they have brought in. If things were so good why so many retail stores in California converted to indirect, and why so many AM's dismissed in favor of a handful of floaters??

@ctz I liken it to when jeremy shockey played for the giants. As a new yorker I rooted for the Giants to win but shockey to have a bad game or get hurt every week. It was a conflict of interest and I was glad when he went to play with the saints. Conflict solved. Same with (b)lowell. He's a total cretin who should be at the very most managing a McDonalds but due to circumstances beyond a norml man's control he's CEO of verizon. You can't rootell against him and for verizon however. They're kinda one and the same so until he leaves/retires/is forced out all we can do is hope for bad numbers, until the day he retires. Then, I'm all in again verizon. But (b)lowell makes my team (verizon) as disgusting as the Philadelphia Eagles. Sorry.

Given good numbers out of ATT and T-Mobile it stands to infer that VZ will post 'similar' type of numbers. The key metric to look at will be free cash flow....if that drops or revenue numbers are flat that will probably mean stock will languish in low to mid forties for some time. Just an opinion mind you

The only thing that good financial news brings is the same management style that has destroyed the morale of this company for years. It will never change with these idiots as long as customers reward this company with increased revenue.

I'm shocked by those AT&T numbers because we've been destroying them and Sprint. T-Mobile still losing subs to them, but best the numbers have been in a while.

Welp, T Mobile added 1.3 million net subs with 1.1% churn. AT&T added 2.1 million net subs with 0.79% churn. So I guess all these "net adds" you are talking about came from Sprint? Because we all know there are no NEW net adds. The market is saturated remember?

Verizon has been cooking it's book for over 3 years now anyways with Fran Shamwow magic.
