Randall to remain Chairman and CEO when merger closes

There has been speculation in the news media this morning about our organizational structure once we close the Time Warner deal. Randall Stephenson will remain Chairman and CEO of AT&T. No other decisions on leadership or organizational structure have been finalized.

What did you expect them to say? When there is denial, the speculation is more likely the truth, they just don't want to jeopardise the deal.
