Not sure, but my area is having a call and all SSRs have to attend. Possible layoff call? Anyone have insight?

Haha Heartland States. It was just a call so they can start cleaning the back of the stores that's all.
This just in......the sky is falling! Run for cover!!!
I'm in the SE, and unlike some here, I need this job, can we please keep this updated with real information? I, again, unlike some here, actually like my job and don't want to lose it. :/ Thanks in advance!
@1txw: the company can issue a layoff at any time but often if not always won't do it if there's negotiations occurring.
Orange Contract still hasn't been signed, i don't think they can do any layoff till that is signed
we have monthly calls, with all SSR's...they have been "building us" in terms of being more involved with the store and helping out with management. Also big into self-development and other opportunities, so a lay off seems like it's coming. The last call was canceled last minute so who knows.
The fact they are not replacing them in stores and there being VERY little positions open for them follows the trend of them about to either be laid off or at least a big workforce reduction.
The only thing stopping them is the fact stores are down to 1 asm, and with the manager off you need at least 1 person holding down the queue and having codes. Our stores turn into chaos during peak hours, even with just 1 manager on duty because of the influx of people coming in and the manager being occupied with something. You also can't expect a manager to be on the floor 24/7
Georgia? Florida? I have noticed our calls that we're back 2 back for the last 8 months are now 5-10 minutes apart and we are offering etime.
I'm in SE. Overheard a manager ask them all to be on a call. But I'm thinking it's just a market thing? They are gonna be on the phone with the ARSM (Gulf States)
What area are you located in? Have not heard anything in NP. When is the call?
