The biggest factor in off shoring is the drive to maximize profits, taxes and regulations are just the whine to cover that fact. If taxes were 1% and there were no regulations, corporations would still offshore if it made them more money.

Corporate tax reform benefits Randy and his ilk, it does nothing for working people.

Well, someone must pay for services. That means, individuals pay more of the share if corporations pay less of the share. Very simple math. I agree that Stephenson's call to action is self serving.

Tax reform benefits everyone. Every dollar that is sent to the government is a dollar wasted. The 2 biggest factors in offshoring jobs are taxes and regulations. When businesses have more money via lower taxation the more money to they have to expand (hire) and allocate capital (grow). The 15% tax on pass thru small businesses is huge. If you get laid off and start a business you would pay the same tax rate as corporations instead of paying taxes at the individual bracket.
