Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

PART TIME need not apply.

Wells Fargo in Phoenix has inklings of hypocrisy in their hiring price,...even for PART TIME positions. Their statement regarding age, experience, veteran, etc. is hogwash. You can have 25+ years of customer service/sales experience, college education, age 45+ and they discount you with a response of "At the present time, there are other candidates whose qualifications more closely match the requirements for this position and we will be moving forward with them in the recruiting process." The part time position requirement?......high school or GED and 1 year customer service experience!!

That is who they prefer the young, eager, nieve employees. They coach them how to commit bank fraud then bully them around to continue day after day. Experienced Bankers 25+years outside of Wells Fargo are told that they don't think they can do the job. That's right long time managers I will not commit Bank fraud, pressure customers to take Bank products that would destroy their business or put up with your criminal management style. More than half of managers in this Bank have been breeded to run the Bank like this and that includes Senior Management. It is a prison not a Bank.

Well said. . . . . hire the young and ignorant who have low loyalty and process the revolving door. Great way for job security in HR and recruitment.

Wells Fargo regularly discriminates against older workers. Management intentially is hiring younger workers that may not Alhambra all the qualifications as a way to reduce salary expense. After being told on several occasions by hiring managers they were looking for younger workers and that I was over qualified, I got the hint and looked to regional firms hat value experience over age. I'm happily working at a regional size firm and love taking business away from WF

Yes, it is easier to exploit younger and less educated workers who are easier to manipulate and coerce them to for example work overtime without being paid. Or force them to create fake checking, savings, and credit accounts and sign custoners up for life and auto insurance policies. It makes sense why they do it they have it all figured out.
