There already have been targeted layoffs for IoT and NDG. The question is what will happen after the Q2 numbers (and Q3 guidance) come out later in July. Options are (1) Nothing -- meaning no mass layoffs and no more targeted below-the-radar layoffs, (2) Another ACT-style mass layoff, (3) Continuation of targeted below-the-radar layoffs, or (4) items (2) and (3). I hope for option (1), fear option (4) is an eventuality and guess that for now it'll be option (3) and it will be presented in a vague, non-specific way to minimize employee worry while extracting maximum fiscal and stock price effect.
To be honest @NxeOBfj-wyrx, I believe that nothing happening is not an option. It will most likely be a toss up between a quick mass layoffs option and a publicity and morale "friendlier" under-the-radar layoffs option - the news of which they hope will not get traction in the media.
