Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

No wonder stock is in the tank

I've watched this company move from being professional and competent to a mess. There was a >time where talent was cultured, actively trained, and helped to grow.

Now it's become a sad parody of corporate culture where the business is secondary to individual >battles between senior people who take credit for the work of others, and lay blame for their >failures on others.

Probably the best example of is Marni's organization, where Angiolet and Guru have left the >company with no useful business pipeline. Go90 is emblematic of her lack of leadership, and >letting weak and narcissistic SVPs flail.

So now the company is panic mode, and the stock price proves it.

This about covers it, @O1mz9lj-3vga. I have been with the company for nearly three decades, and sometimes its hard to see what it turned into. I will be retiring soon, but I feel sorry for the younger folks who are stuck with this mess.

This post hits the nail on the head. Professionalism has been replaced with posturing careerist whose only goal is to make powerpoint presentation that impress others. It's pathetic.
