Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Anybody remember "Rockstar" ?

What a colossal waste of time and money. There was a group of women in the Irvine (wireless) call center that couldn't get enough of it. I'm glad they're all gone.

All it did was take people away from their jobs for hours practicing this non sense. If you think Rockstar was a good idea, you should be fired too.

It's right up the with Hum and go90.

wtf is this sh--? over in wireline we've been trying to keep things running using baling wire and duct tape for years while vzw was wasting money on this? Yeah I don't feel so bad now that they're starting to see how the other half has had to live.

Yup huge waste. Too bad the West Area President who created it still has a job. They assigned him to a "special project". It seems like that's where they send all the leadership that can't hack it instead of firing them.

The good 'ol boys (and sometimes girls) network is alive and well at Verizon. They just keep shuffling around the same tired old leadership like musical chairs. What a joke. And when they bring someone from the outside they get some loser like Tyson Chicken boy or J Crew T Shirt guy. I guess that is the best a old, bloated telecom can do nowadays.

I am just waiting for this colossal house of cards to come crashing down. I give Verizon 3 years tops before it gets crushed by debt, bought out or sold off.

I remember that Rochester used to have a band that toured different call centers. RIP to that, too.
